Description

If you have noticed idling issues, stumbling, loss of power, or other signs of weak ignition issues in your 1984-89 Nissan 300ZX & Turbo (Z31 Chassis), the culprit may be a tired, worn crank position sensor. Our Replacement Crankshaft Angle Sensor should take a major step in helping to get your vehicle closer to peak operating condition.

These Crank Sensors (also known as a CAS) are installed inside the distributor. This is an improved unit as found in many mid-1990’s vehicles, and has more robust electronics. Installation is easy, and if your ignition issues are related to a weak or dying crank sensor, you should see an immediate improvement.

PLEASE NOTE – this is an updated part that fits in later Nissan cars. Later cars used tiny plastic dowels on the bottom side of the CAS to locate them in the distributor housing. This is not necessary on the Z31 – so you must remove the dowels by clipping them off with a pair of cutting pliers. Simply compare your old CAS and the new CAS to determine where to clip these dowels to ensure a flush fit. If you fail to clip these dowels – you do run the risk of damaging your new crankshaft sensor and we are not liable for damage because of this.
